Public Notice: PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that on December 10, 2024, the Ashland Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. at the Ashland Civic Center, 1175 East Main Street for the following item:

PLANNING ACTION:      PA-T2-2024-00054

SUBJECT PROPERTY:    Tax lot 8600 of assessor’ map 39-1E-04-AD

OWNER:                                  PDK Properties, LLC

APPLICANT:                         Taylored Elements Construction

DESCRIPTION:                    A request for outline plan approval for a 15-lot Performance Standards Option (PSO) subdivision, and a request for residential Site Design Review approval. The application also includes a request for a variance to driveway width. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN DESIGNATION: North Mountain Plan; ZONING: NM-MF; MAP: 39-1E-04-AD; TAX LOT: 8600, 4700, 7800

The public hearing will be televised on local channel 9 or channels 180 and 181 for Charter Communications customers or will also be available live stream by going to rvtv.sou.edu  and selecting RVTV Prime. The meeting agenda and information about how to testify and submit written comments will be posted on the City of Ashland web site here https://ashlandor.portal.civicclerk.com/event/206/files

Those wishing to submit written comments can do so by sending an e-mail to [email protected] with the subject line “December 10, 2024 Hearing Testimony” by 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.  Written testimony received by this deadline will be available for Planning Commissioners to review before the hearing and will be included in the meeting minutes.

Oral testimony will also be taken during the electronic public hearing via Zoom as well. If you wish to provide oral testimony during the hybrid meeting, please send an email to [email protected]  by 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.  Please provide the following information: 1) make the subject line of the email “December 10 Speaker Request”, 2) include your name, 3) the agenda item on which you wish to speak, 4) specify if you will be participating by computer or telephone, and 5) the name you will use if participating by computer or the telephone number you will use if participating by telephone.  The Zoom meeting link will be posted on the Planning Commission agenda available on-line prior to the meeting at:

Ashland Parks & Recreation Commission approves budget request

Ashland Parks & Recreation Commissioners voted unanimously Wednesday to approve a requested budget for the department slightly higher than budget direction from the city. Senior Analyst Brandon Terry said the budget as directed would give the Parks & Recreation Department a total baseline budget of $22.3 million — $15 million for operations and $7.3 million for capital projects — for the next biennial budget, July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027.
