Notice is hereby given that the Ashland City Council will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5th at the Ashland City Council Chambers (1175 E. Main St.) to consider PA-T3-2023-00006, conduct a public hearing and hold first reading of an ordinance amending the Ashland Municipal Code (AMC) to implement requirements of the Climate-Friendly & Equitable Communities (CFEC) rules contained in the Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR) OAR 660-012-0400 through 0450 with regard to parking. These ordinance amendments involve AMC sections 18.2.2 “Base Zones & Allowed Uses”, 18.2.3 “Special Use Standards”, 18.3.14 “Transit Triangle Overlay”, 18.3.2 “Croman Mill District”, 18.3.4 “Normal Neighborhood District”, 18.3.5 “North Mountain Neighborhood District”, 18.3.9 “Performance Standards Option & PSO Overlay”, 18.4.2 “Building Placement, Orientation & Design”, 18.4.3 “Parking, Access & Circulation”, 18.4.4 “Landscaping, Lighting & Screening”, 18.4.6 “Public Facilities”, 18.5.2 “Site Design Review”, 18.5.3 “Land Divisions & Property Line Adjustments”, 18.5.4 “Conditional Use Permits”, 18.5.5 “Variances”, and 18.5.6 “Modifications to Approved Planning Actions”.
The public hearing will be televised on local channel 9 or channels 180 and 181 for Charter Communications customers or will also be available live stream by going to rvtv.sou.edu and selecting RVTV Prime. A copy of the staff report will be available on-line at http://www.ashland.or.us/PCpackets seven days prior to the Planning Commission hearing. Those wishing to submit written comments can do so by sending an e-mail to [email protected] with the subject line “December 5th Parking Hearing Testimony” by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023. Written testimony received by this deadline will be available for Councilors to review before the hearing and will be included in the meeting minutes.
Oral testimony will also be taken via Zoom during the in-person public hearing.
