Riding Beyond offers volunteer training next week

Registration open for sessions Tuesday and Saturday, March 14 and 18

Riding Beyond, a local nonprofit offering women recovering from breast cancer treatment the chance to interact with specially trained horses, is conducting its yearly volunteer training from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Saturday, March 14 and 18, at Little Creek Ranch on Siskiyou Boulevard just south of Ashland. Volunteers many choose one day or the other.

Since 2013, Riding Beyond, a 501( c )(3) nonprofit organization, has offered free spring and fall four-week sessions to breast cancer survivors and weekly meditation circles with horses to the general public throughout the year.

Training for horse handler volunteers is offered in a manner that invites the healing interactions which are a cornerstone of the Riding Beyond programs.

Volunteers with interest and skills in horsemanship, expanding public awareness, bookkeeping, grant writing, or social media are welcome.
