Ashland School District board meeting begins at 5 p.m. at old Lincoln School

Ashland.news staff report

Finalization of criteria for its next superintendent is up for discussion at a special meeting of the Ashland School District Board of Directors starting at 5 p.m. today at 320 Beach St., Ashland, and via Zoom, the district announced Monday afternoon.

A draft of the Next Superintendent Criteria is available for community and public review, and the district says it welcomes feedback from the community.

Area residents are invited to provide feedback and public testimony on the criteria being used to select a new superintendent during the special session. Testimony may be given in person or virtually through Zoom. Visit this link for details regarding location and virtual access for the Nov. 14 special session.

The board will likely finalize the criteria during the meeting in preparation for opening of the recruitment window, which will begin Nov. 23.

Superintendent Samuel Bogdanove announced earlier this fall he plans to retire at the end of the school year.

Questions about the Ashland School District superintendent search process may be emailed to superintendentsearch@ashland.k12.or.us.

To attend via Zoom, go online using this link. The in-person gathering place is Room 3 of the Lincoln School building.
