They’rrrrrrrre back: Monster Dash returns Oct. 28

The Ashland Monster Dash, the race featuring competitors decked out in Halloween garb, returns for its 15th year on Saturday, Oct. 28, in Lithia Park. The event will feature in-person 1-mile, 5K, and 10K distances, with prizes for the top finishers in each race.

Summer activities at Mt. Ashland are winding down. Only four days – Saturday and Sunday Aug. 5 and 6 and Aug. 19 and 20 — remain for the Youth Adventure Days program for youth age 7 to 12. While the youth programs are ending, the lodge and café will remain open on weekends until Sept. 3.

New festival celebrates Siskiyou Crest

A new multifaceted festival celebrating a special corner of Southern Oregon is scheduled for this weekend. The Siskiyou Crest: A Festival of Art, Culture and Science will run from Friday through Sunday, July 14-16, at Pacifica Garden, 14615 Water Gap Road, in Williams. Activities will begin at 10 a.m. each day.
