New Ashland dispensary opens in storied gas station

Kingston Cannabis Co. has opened just west of Exit 14 in the former Phillips 66 gas station at 2366 Ashland St., which required more than a year of remodeling. Three food trucks — Laika’s Lox and Bagels, Tacos Libertad and Cat’s Crepes — rotate through the space outside the store.

After a site visit on Monday afternoon, the Ashland Planning Commission held a public hearing Tuesday night where they unanimously approved the land use and design measures needed for a new water treatment plant for the city. Final approval by the commission is expected in two to four weeks when they make necessary legal findings.
