Raiders to play next on Friday and Saturday, March 14 and 15, in Lithia Motors Pavilion

SOU Sports Information

As expected, the NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championship’s first and second rounds are returning to Lithia Motors Pavilion.

Southern Oregon, like last season, was among 12 hosts named Thursday by the national office. The last four host sites will be announced when the complete 64-team bracket is revealed March 6.

The Raiders (29-0 overall) got the nod based on their No. 2 final ranking. They’ll play the first of two Round of 64 games on March 14, tipping off at 5:30 p.m. The Round of 32 contest is set for a 5 p.m. start on March 15.

The Raiders have advanced to the Round of 32 each of the last three seasons. If they reach the Round of 16, they’ll travel to Sioux City, Iowa, to play out the rest of the tournament March 20-25.

They started postseason play Wednesday night with a 77-44 win against Evergreen (Wash.) in the quarterfinal round of the Cascade Conference Tournament. They host College of Idaho in the semifinals at 7 p.m. Saturday.
