A Tuesday afternoon truck crash on Interstate 5 near the Oregon-California border has closed the southbound lanes of traffic, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
The crash, reported just before 2 p.m., could result in an extended closure, according to an ODOT news release.

“To avoid long delays on the roadway, travelers are encouraged to exit in Ashland (Exits 19, 14) or farther north until the road is reopened,” the release said.
