Intro to Nature Journaling Series: Focus on Birds

Develop a closer connection with nature through observation, curiosity, and art.

A nature journal is a mix between a sketchbook and a diary that helps to focus your attention and enrich your experiences. Nature journaling is easy to begin and learn, and fun and fascinating to develop over a lifetime. Participants will learn and practice skills to view and sketch the plants and animals commonly encountered in our region, along with some guidance on how to start and keep your own nature journal. The series will take place every other week and culminate in an outing to a local park where attendees will have the opportunity to practice their skills in the wild.

Advance reservation is appreciated, but not required, though attendance will be capped at twenty attendees. Please note that this program is designed for mature patrons eighteen and older.
