Soroptimist Report: Soroptimist International of Ashland (SIA), stepped into spring by celebrating Women’s History Month, including International Women’s Day, on March 8. We felt the zest of the season in our hearts and an unstoppable drive in our spirits.
Soroptimist Report: Soroptimist International of Ashland (SIA), which strives to build community through education, will host a Dream Builders Luncheon in April to raise funds for its scholarship, grants and awards program. Since 1946, we have empowered women and girls to live their dreams, primarily thorough scholarships.
Soroptimists of Ashland distributed scholarships and supportive monetary awards to 13 local female students at their first in-person annual luncheon after two years of cancellations. Several winners are mothers, several are the first in their family to graduate high school or attend college. Some recipients are women of color or the daughter of immigrant parents. All awardees are exceptional women with drive, dedication, intelligence and talent, the club reports.
