Family trees and pedigree charts provide a simple graphic format for presenting the who, when, and where of our ancestral research.
But do you want a simple family tree, a horizontal pedigree chart, a fan chart, or a descendants chart? How many generations should you put on one chart? And what the heck is an ahnentafel chart? Jeanne Hoadley will explore some of the many types of ancestry charts available along with various software packages for producing them.
She will also discuss the pros and cons of handwritten charts vs. computer generated ones. The class will take place from 10:30 AM until noon followed by a hands-on help session from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
Cost: $10 RVGS members, $20 non-members
The instructional part of the class will be in person and via Zoom, and will be recorded and made available to those who registered for 30 days.
