The Southern Oregon Career Center (SOCC) will host a lively fundraising event on Friday, November 15, from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Rellik Winery in Central Point. The evening will feature dinner, a dessert auction, a silent auction, and live music—bringing together community members for an evening of food, fun, and philanthropy.

The fundraiser will support SOCC’s career-focused programs, providing high school juniors and seniors with hands-on learning opportunities that prepare them for high-wage, high-demand careers. Through partnerships with industry and education leaders, students can earn industry-recognized certifications and gain real-world experience. Proceeds from the event will directly fund program development and classroom resources, including an EMT lab for the Emergency Medical Services Program, enhancements to the Behavioral Health Program, and a Medical Assisting lab. These investments ensure students have access to state-of-the-art equipment and the practical skills needed to succeed in their chosen career pathways.
Guests can look forward to a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, featuring local musicians, a delicious Mexican dinner prepared by Chef Sky Elder, and a dessert auction with items generously donated by local businesses. From homemade desserts to unique experiences, there’s something for everyone to enjoy while supporting a worthy cause.
“This event is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of the work we do and the community that supports us,” said Brad Capener, SOESD Coordinator and SOCC Principal. “We’re excited to welcome friends, families, and supporters to come together and help us continue empowering students to pursue meaningful career paths.”
