Sunday Service: Finding Waldo

Ralph Waldo Emerson (“Waldo to his friends) was a sixth-generation minister, yet after three years preaching at the Unitarian church in Boston (Second Church of Boston), in 1832, he left his ministry and the church. Emerson later became one of the most influential thinkers of his time through his essays, lectures, and other writings. What caused this change, and how does his incredible body of work inform our principles and practices? Teddie Milligan will give a layperson’s thoughts on Emerson and his extraordinary development of a personal philosophy, which can inspire us today.

To this reviewer’s relief, however, “Bullshot Crummond,” the latest production from Collaborative Theatre Project (CTP), has all the aforementioned, but delights with a multi-faceted cast that possesses a knack for expressing classic British humor.
