The Talent Maker City event features a bike parade with a workshop, competition, and treats provided by Sweet Beet Station

Lights on Bikes, the annual Talent holiday bike parade, returns for its 12th year from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13.

4-5:30 p.m. Bike Decorating Workshop and Safety Checks
5:15-6 p.m. Best Lit Bike Competition
6-6:30 p.m. Lights on Bike Parade

According to Talent Maker City news release, “Get a bike, put some lights on it, and ride the streets of Talent with your friends and neighbors to look at holiday light displays!”
The event will feature a competition on the best-lit bike in these categories:
- Family/Group Entry — The Griswold Award
- Boldest and Brightest — North Star Award
- Most Technically Innovative — Tech the Halls Award and specific age categories for kids and teens
- Under 5 years old
- 6-10 years old
- 11-16 years old
Additionally, there will be a competition for “Best Dressed” house as well as a raffle that participants can enter by donating a can of soup to the Talent Food Pantry.
If needing inspiration, the Talent Maker City makerspace will host a bike decorating workshop before the parade begins. They ask that participants bring their bike and any decorations they would like to add.
Free cookies, cocoa and cider will be provided by Sweet Beet Station at the event.
