A mini (5 x 5) crossword debuts this week; it’s a smaller, more approachable puzzle for beginning solvers; an early mid-week (Tuesday) appetizer for cruciverbalists before the full-size Friday crossword; bespoke & human-crafted, usually with two or more local seed words or names; free for everyone — thanks to your support of Ashland.news (NYT’s mini recently disappeared behind a paywall!). Solve the mini in your browser or download and print. More info about minis: FAQ: Mini. Next Friday’s crossword: Yule Be Puzzled #01.

Solve in Browser: an interactive puzzle appears below (see File: Help for how to use).
For a larger view, or if the puzzle is not visible, open puzzle in a new window.

Print: download .pdf file (#01 & #02)*: puzzles, solutions.
*To save paper (and avoid inadvertent spoilers), puzzle and solution pages each contain 2 minis (and change every 2 weeks). Paper copies may be available at Jackson County Library branches.
