Lisa Mae Grant passed away Aug. 24, 2025.
January 27, 2026

April 2, 1955 — Aug. 24, 2025

Lisa Mae Grant, born on April 2, 1955, in Sacramento, California, was laid to rest on August 24, 2025, in Spokane, Washington, due to complications from a stroke. She was the beloved mother of Charlie and Lewis.

Lisa was known as a trailblazer and a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on earth was marked by selflessness, compassion, and unwavering love for her sons and friends. Her passing has left a void that will never be truly filled. She touched so many lives through massage, hospice work, and volunteering. We ask you to remember her for the life she lived and the way she lived it. She lived every day as if it were her last and didn’t sweat the small things, but instead lived with a beautiful, vibrant energy. We are grateful we were able to feel and embrace the true impact she had on our lives.

Lisa is survived by her twin sons, Charlie and Lewis; her daughter-in-law, Amanda Sebrell; her ex-husband, David Sebrell; her rescue pit bull, Raya; and her granddaughters, Sunnie Jane Sebrell and Elsie Mae Sebrell.

After graduating from Redwood High School in Marin, California, she embarked on a mission to travel, spread love and happiness, and touch people’s lives for the better.

She was a massage therapist for over 30 years, running a successful practice while also working with hospice and donating her time to those in need. She spent many years rescuing and saving animals’ lives and had a true knack and special bond with them. She was determined to have children, and although told it was impossible, she pursued in vitro fertilization and had twins. She became the best mother a child could ever have.

Outside of work, travel, and being the loudest and most dedicated sports mom, she loved summers and reading. She was a talented swimmer, gifted at writing poetry, and loved the open road with no plans. Her love for travel and music reflected her adventurous and free spirit.

Those who knew Lisa will remember her infectious smile and joyful laughter, her deep-rooted spirituality, and her unwavering commitment to her children, friends, and grandchildren. She had a rare gift for making others feel safe, loved, and seen, leaving a lasting impact on her people and community.

A celebration of life to honor Lisa Mae Grant will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, in Jacksonville. Please call 541-601-8326 (Charlie Sebrell) or 315-790-0208 (Lewis Sebrell) with any questions.

Although Lisa’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. Her light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
