Festive displays light up the city, turning an ordinary evening drive into a shared holiday experience

By Bob & Tracy Palermini for Ashland.news

Looking for a dose of holiday cheer? Once the sun goes down, take a drive around Ashland and enjoy the many homes and businesses glowing with festive lights and decorations. From classic strands of white lights to playful inflatables and hand-built scenes, the variety reflects the creativity and care neighbors bring to the season.

We spotted plenty of standout displays on our own tour, but part of the fun is discovering surprises along the way, a quiet street suddenly aglow, or a familiar corner transformed for the holidays. These displays have a way of slowing people down, encouraging a smile, and turning an ordinary evening drive into a shared seasonal experience.

Many thanks to the readers who shared their suggestions, and special appreciation to the homeowners and renters who help brighten our neighborhoods and create moments of joy for passersby during the holiday season.
