Word Puzzle: Flower Power #01

July 29, 2025

In this week’s bonus pilot “variety” puzzle (sometimes called a Petal Puzzle),
each numbered space is the start of two 5-letter answers, one curving clockwise and the other counterclockwise.
We appreciate your feedback about word puzzles: crosswords, variety puzzles: acrostic, spiral, snake charmer, this flower power puzzle (another example) — would you like to see more of any of these or other variety types?

Solve in Browser: an interactive puzzle appears below; this variety puzzle solver has a much simpler interface than the regular crossword solver: click in a square-ish area to select a target area (gray circle), then type a letter to add, or the Delete key to remove an existing letter. If you enter all letters correctly, confetti will appear. You can also tap a clue to enter a Note for a possible answer. On iPad, keyboard should now popup after tapping, but occasionally you may need to hide keyboard, and re-tap target area. For a larger view, or if the puzzle is not visible, open puzzle in a new window.

Print: download .pdf files: puzzle, solution.
Paper copies may be available at Jackson County Library branches.
